About the Hotel
Rooms with Historic Character
The Bank Hotel Istanbul offers rooms ranging from 20 m² Classic King to 83 m² Penthouse suites. All feature patterned ceilings, Carrara or Brazilian marble bathrooms with rain showers, and specially designed furniture. Select rooms include motorized curtain systems, 5-meter-high ceilings, sofas, and kitchenettes with ceramic hobs and mini ovens. The Penthouse suite provides views of the Bosphorus Bridge, Historical Peninsula, and Golden Horn from its balcony and features a window-surrounded bathtub with remote-controlled curtains.
Dining with Georgian Influence
The rooftop restaurant offers international cuisine with Georgian influences, created by Michelin-starred Chef Jaume Puigdengolas and a local chef. It uses ingredients from local farmers. The Bar-Restaurant 'Blue Fox' serves signature dishes and seasonal specials. A buffet breakfast is served in the lobby with original marble columns. The hotel's wine cellar stores wines from Kvareli, Georgia, and the Gold Bar offers an extensive Turkish wine list and cocktails like the Karaköy Sour.
Spa and Meeting Facilities
The spa includes a classic white marble Turkish hammam, sauna, steam rooms, and three treatment rooms. The fitness center is available for guests. Four meeting rooms accommodate 5 to 40 people, with some located in original bank vaults. Rooms provide high-speed Wi-Fi, projection systems, and slide projectors. DJ Barthez hosts Friday Sessions at The Bank Lobby Bar and Sunset Sessions at The Bank Roof Bar.
Karaköy Neighborhood Location
The hotel is on Bankalar Caddesi in Karaköy, formerly Constantinople's financial district. It is a 5-minute walk to the Galata Bridge and 1 km from Istanbul Modern, Elipsis Gallery, and the Museum of Innocence. The entertainment quarter of Beyoğlu and historical Sultanahmet are within walking distance. The property holds a Safe Tourism Certification covering health and safety protocols.
Concierge and Accessibility
The reception and concierge handle dry cleaning, appliance fixes, and other details. One room on the first floor offers accessibility for guests with disabilities. The hotel building combines two historical structures, preserving original features like German-made vaults and historical calculators. It is part of Yılmaz Ulusoy Holding's restoration project.

Guest Ratings & Reviews
I felt like a VIP in the heart of the bustling city at this 'Superior King' hotel. The rooms were comfortable and elegant, though sometimes lacking in perfect cleanliness. The location allowed easy access to the vibrant areas, but it was a bit overwhelming for my preference. The service exceeded my expectations with personal recommendations and exceptional friendliness from the staff.
I absolutely loved my stay at this wonderful hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated with high ceilings and great interior design, but some areas looked a little dated and shabby. The service, especially the polite and friendly staff with good English knowledge, was the highlight of my experience. The location was fantastic and central to all tourist sites in Istanbul, near the Galata bridge and easily accessible via metro and tram. The dining experience with traditional Turkish food was amazing, although limited dining options nearby may be a consideration. Overall, a great value for money with top-notch service and a fantastic location.
Our stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms were beautiful with high ceilings, elegant furniture, and great facilities, making our experience very nice and comfortable. However, we found the rooms a bit small, expecting a bit more space.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The beautifully designed and spacious rooms provided a comfortable stay, although they were a little small. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my check-in process smooth and easy. The location was excellent, with easy access to the trams and close proximity to many tourist sites. The dining experience offered a delicious selection of both Turkish and Western breakfast foods. The facilities were well-maintained, adding to the comfort of my stay.
The hotel offers a mix of positives like an excellent view of the Bosphorus and Hagia Sophia, though the rooms are small and can feel dimly lit. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. The location is convenient with good transport links nearby, but a bit far from Taksim square. Dining was delightful with various Turkish specialties, while the facilities were well-maintained and inviting.
Even though the 'Superior King' rooms were a bit small, my stay was comfortable overall. The rooms had high ceilings and a nice classic decor that we got completely free of charge. The staff were very friendly, kind, and did their best to ensure we enjoyed our stay in Istanbul. The location is simply fantastic for tourists, being on a quiet road off the main hustle of Karakoy and close to the historical part of the city. The dining experience was very good with a variety of options, although a bit expensive considering what was on offer.
